I’ve done a lot of different things that don’t necessarily make for a perfectly legible resume, so here’s a table of contents so you can jump to the stuff you want to know about:

What’s my deal

Short version

I’m a writer and artist based in Brooklyn, NY. I’m interested in power, landscape, technology, and narratives constructed around all of the above. Also, I have a beautiful and perfect dog.

Longer Version

Following over a decade of working across journalism, tech, and art, I returned to academia in 2021 and am currently doing a PhD in Geography at the University of Delaware. I’ve continued to develop creative projects and occasionally freelance in parallel to my academic research given the utterly abysmal state of funding for graduate studies. I’m available for curatorial projects, public speaking, freelance writing assignments, communications consulting, and anything where I get to work with smart low-ego people on weird and interesting questions.

Primary responsibilities include developing the Supply Studies Research Guide, a practical resource for supply chain researchers, and working with grantees in the Manifest Research Network.

Research Affiliate, Center for Advanced Research in Global Communication, University of Pennsylvania | 2022-2023

As a researcher on the Internet Society Foundation-funded grant “Greening From The Margins”, I collaborated on a large-scale study of waste materials and ecological risk across digital technology supply chains. My research contribution, developed with Ann Chen, focused on the environmental and health impacts of semiconductor manufacturing. Archival research and fieldwork took place in Silicon Valley and Taiwan.
